HUBER+SUHNER: Change in Group management
For personal reasons and in consultation with corporate management, Dr Hanspeter Bär, Head of the Radio Frequency Division (RF), has decided to stand down from his current position and to retire from the Group’s Executive management as of 1 September 2009. Dr Bär will take up the position and responsibility for development within the Radio Frequency Division’s management team. At the same time, Jean-Luc Gavelle will become COO of the Radio Frequency Division, whilst simultaneously being appointed to the Group Executive management. Jean-Luc Gavelle is a French citizen who has worked for HUBER+SUHNER since 1 January 1999. He started with our group as General Manager Brazil and successfully set up the subsidiary in Sao Paulo. Since 2003 he has been the Asia Pacific Regional Director and Chinese General Manager. Resulting from the appointment of Jean-Luc Gavelle, the position of APAC Regional Management will be suspended in the interests of organisational simplification. The General Managers of our subsidiaries in China, India, South-East Asia and Australia will report directly to the COO Global Sales, Paul Harris.
